The new V1-3518 is an updated version of the European Champion engine. Based on the very same engine that won the title last year in Sweden, the 3518 includes all the features of its predecessor with a new cooling head color scheme.

The 5 port cylinder, paired with the long stroke scheme, provides enough power throughout the whole power band. The crankshaft receives the precious DLC treatment in order to increase its durability even in the most demanding off-road situation and rotates on a Swiss-Made ceramic rear bearing. The carburetor sports the latest double bottom-end adjustment for fine-tuning and improved reliability.

After the success of the R1 platform, we are proud to introduce its evolution: the R2-3518. We worked alongside with our team in order to develop the R1 base and the outcome is a big improvement in order of power band and stability. The flow of fresh charge has been improved with new cylinder port shaping and a completely new crankshaft design. The shaft remains DLC coated, while the bore and stroke ratio have also been changed slightly compared to the R1.

The R2-3518 features the latest crankcase design that provides an improved stiffness and therefore a more stable performance at every temperature, reducing the flex. The crankshaft is treated with a Diamond-Like Coating in order to prevent oxidation and wear of the pin, and works on a rear ceramic Swiss-Made bearing. The carburetor features a double bottom-end adjustment for the finest of tunings.

The S1-1218 is conceived to take our .12 engines performances to the next level. The new redesigned 12mm crankshaft with silicone insert optimizes the flow of fresh charge, improving the overall performances of the power unit without compromising on fuel consumption. The 3-port cylinder and the composite carburetor complete the engine, easy to distinguish thanks to the updated color scheme of the cooling head.

This unit features a new color scheme on its LCG – Low Center of Gravity cooling head, conceived to drastically improve the handling of the touring car it is mounted on. The aforementioned newly shaped crankshaft is connected to the piston by a super aligned “knife edged” rod and rotates on Swiss-Made ball bearings for optimized performances. The piston is CNC-Machined from a high silicone percentage alloy, while the brass cylinder is hand-finished and sports a tear-drop work on its ports.

PIC9285 PICCO R1 .21 TEAM DLC WC 2017 CERAMIC ON-ROAD MOTOR

The R1 Team DLC-WC 2017 is a limited edition of our top-of-the-range on-road engine. Developed throughout the tests held on the 2017 Worlds‘ track, this version features a different cylinder with updated timing that increases the bottom power to better suit the challenging French circuit. The engine is easily distinguished by a new engraved cooling head, specially designed and dedicated to the event, that maintains the same quotes of the standard version to obtain a low centre of gravity.
As in the standard R1 Team version, the crankcase sports a designing concept that ensures more stable performances throughout a wider temperature range and thanks to its improved stiffness is immune to any loss of RPMs due to unwanted torsions. The WC-2017 also shares the same double bottom-end adjustment carburettor for finer tuning and a better passage.
The crankshaft features the precious DLC coating that prevents any oxidation and any wear of the crankpin. Fitted with a ceramic ball bearing and a 7 port sleeve paired with a piston machined from high silicon material, this version represents the very best that modern technology can offer.
